Bill served over 27 years in the Missouri State Highway Patrol, retiring in 2001.
During his career, he was stationed in the Kansas City area, the Springfield area, and Stone County.
Having been a high school teacher, prior to beginning his career with the State Patrol, he was tasked with many teaching assignments. He served as the Troop D (Springfield) Range Master. He also taught First Aid, CPR, Breathalyzer, Criminal Law Updates to both State Patrol personnel and local law enforcement agencies.
Bachelor of Science in Education, Missouri State University.
John began his career in Law Enforcement in late 1974 in his home town. He was hired by the Springfield Police Department in 1977 and retired in 2003. His career was spent in Uniform Patrol and Criminal Investigations. John was a Major Crimes Investigator, as well as an Academy Instructor.

Certified to teach CCW in Missouri and Kansas.
Since retirement from the Springfield Police Department, has been commissioned as a Deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Other past teaching positions:

Military/Law Enforcement instructor at Ft Leonard Wood.
International Police Trainer, teaching Pakistani Law Enforcement courses in Islamabad and Quetta, Pakistan.

James Harper III
James has been an instructor with Old Coots Firearms Training Services since 2007. He has been a commissioned law enforcement officer in the state of Missouri since 2004 and is still a sworn law enforcement officer. Prior to becoming a law enforcement officer he was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He was trained as an infantryman and a Marine Security Force Guard. He received an honorable discharge after he completed his enlistment. James is certified by the NRA as a Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer. He is also certified to teach the NRA Refuse to Be a Victim program.
